Unlimited Edition Lecture Series: An Evening with Musical Guest Kastro Zizo – Artist of the Year
St. Francis College is proud to host an honorable guest speaker, Mr. Kastro Zizo (Klevis Bega), awarded “Artist of the Year”. The event will take place on Thursday, 26 January 2023, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in The Auditorium of St. Francis College (179 Livingston St, Brooklyn, NY 11201).
Unlimited Edition is an artistic and cultural series conceptualized by musician Kastro Zizo. Unlimited Edition Lecture Series aims to cultivate a growth mindset and make a difference in the lives of youth and the community in New York and beyond. Unlimited Edition opens the door to a life of unlimited possibilities to unleashing your full potential.
The guest speaker Kastro Zizo will deliver a special lecture regarding growing up in Albania, the country’s complex past and the future of the Albanian diaspora. Zizo will also talk about his views on career choices and how we can be “unlimited and much more.” By sharing his experiences and views on important social and cultural matters, Kastro Zizo hopes to inspire all the attendees by bringing in a fresh perspective and food for thought.
During the event, Kastro Zizo will be presented with the prestigious Congressional Award “Artist of the Year”, with esteemed guests making a special appearance. The event will be hosted by Herta Hada, a political science student at St. Francis College, and president of Albanian Roots Club of St. Francis College.
Live music performance by artist Kastro Zizo and a cocktail reception will be held from 8:00-9:00pm, with a meet and greet and photo opportunity with the artist.
About the Artist Kastro Zizo
Artist, TV Host, and producer/director Kastro Zizo (Klevis Bega) is considered the “father of urban rock” who has influenced generations in Albania with his music, art, and 2Farm band. Kastro Zizo became an international sensation when he landed the leading role in the drama feature film “Pharmakon” (2012, dir. Joni Shanj), starring as “Branko”. The film was selected as the Albanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards in 2013.
Through his non-profit organization “My future, my present,” Kastro Zizo promotes the rights of youth through advocacy focusing on arts, culture, social issues, education, and development. He is a graduate of Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, majoring in Cosmology and Astrophysics.

The Albanian Roots Club (ARC) of St. Francis College (SFC), is an academic club with the board comprising of Herta Hada, President; Alkida Koleci, Vice President; Megi Rama, Secretary; Albion Veliu, Treasurer; and Emiljano Bodini, Sacor Representative. St. Francis College was founded in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn as the St. Francis Academy and was the first private school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.
